Intro
Spring is a season of renewal – the days grow longer, shoots of new growth start to emerge, and it is a perfect time to refresh your wardrobe.Â
This is not about buying lots of new clothes, it is about making intentional updates – introducing lighter fabrics, colours, and styles, to what you already have and adding thoughtful items to see you into the new season. It may even be wearing existing items in different ways.Â
Let’s explore how to transition your wardrobe into Spring – from colour inspiration to smart layering and the latest accessory trends.Â
The Colours of Spring
When the seasons change and we start to see those pops of brighter colours in nature, it lifts our mood. Wearing the right colours can do the same.Â
If you already know your colour season, focus on the lighter, fresher shades within it. Of course all the Spring colours will work effortlessly, the other seasons can also incorporate spring-like colour that suit you.Â
- Winters – Icy pastels (icy blue, icy pink and cool mint)
- Summers – Soft smoky pinks, muted pastel blues and gentle lavenders.
- Autumns – Warm salmon pinks, soft khaki and golden yellows.
- Springs – Fresh pistachio green, warm coral and buttery yellows.
Spring 2025 fashion colours include
- Petal Pink, Icy Blue and Emerald Green – perfect for cool-toned individuals.
- Tangerine and Pistachio green – Great for warm toned complexions.
- Browns in various shades and tones depending on your undertone. Â Â
If you are unsure, a colour analysis will help you discover your perfect palette.Â

Wardrobe Detox: What to keep and what to store
Before adding anything new, start by decluttering and organising your wardrobe. Make space for what serves you now.Â
Ask yourself these questions:
- Is it wearable? Worn out, damaged, stained, outdated or just in poor condition? Let it go! Some items may also need to be dry cleaned, altered or mended.
- Do you still love it? Would you buy it today? If not, why keep it?
- Have you worn it within the last 2 years?
- Does it suit your colour characteristics, body shape and style personality?
- Does it fit – and do I feel good in it?
Aim for a balanced wardrobe so that dressing each day becomes effortless and enjoyable.Â

The Power of Layers and Fabrics
Spring can have a variety of temperatures therefore layering is key to dealing with unpredictable weather, not to mention hot flushes of course! Go for thin layers in a mix of textures for an effortless spring look. Rather than a bulky winter coat, opt for a chic trench or lightweight blazer with maybe a T-shirt or blouse, and a cardigan/jumper/knitted vest on top of that. In this way you will have warmth as well as the option to take layers off if it suddenly gets warmer.

Accessories and Finishing Touches
A quick and relatively reasonable way to update looks is always with accessories. Keep it in line with your style personality and proportions and of course your colour palette. Here are some of the top accessory trends for Spring 2025, plus tips on how to wear them:
- Bags. Medicine bags – Structured with a top handle, super practical. Â Belt bags: look for one with unique detailing, like a buckle across the front. Â Oversized as well as micro (tiny) bags. Pick the one that suits your proportions. Â Woven leather and suede is big too. Great for Natural personalities. Â Floral designs and sculptural bags: perfect for adding a quirky, feminine touch.
- Sculptural belts.  Look for ones with interesting buckles, logo’s, or unusual shapes to add edge to your outfit. A Dramatic personalities go-to.  Layering belts is also a new trend seen on runways, yes, stacking them.
- Footwear. Pointed-toe shoes. These shoes elongate your legs and add an elegant touch. Loved by Classic personalities, we can all embrace them this year.  Perfect with jeans or trousers. Pick a good colour for you.  Peep-toe styles: High or low, chunky or slim, pair them with a dress or trousers for a sophisticated vibe.
- Chunky jewellery – in your colour of course! Gold for warm, Silver for cool. Add bold pieces or layer necklaces and bracelets for a more dynamic effect.
- Floppy hats. Not everyone feels comfortable in hats, if you do though, embrace it with sunglasses. These are also functional.
- Headscarves. These can be styled in many ways. I will be doing some social media posts on this to show you. They can be worn on your head, around your neck, as belts and bag embellishments. Perfect for romantic and classic personality types.
- Statement sunglasses. Pick different shapes and colours. Lean into that style personality here.Â
- Brooches!! Yes! I am loving this. If you know me at all you will know I have always loved a brooch, I even have a brooch drawer in my dressing table. Add a few together and pin them to hats as well. They are a great way to add interest and personality to any style.Â
- Socks are still in. Love or hate them. With heels and sandals as well as trainers and loafers. This can be a challenge, but worth a go as it will update your look very inexpensively. Â
However you assess and update your style for Spring, I am here to help. As well as my services in Colour and Style analysis I will regularly cover trends and tips in my Social media posts, and Newsletters.Â
